"This is not my planet" is inspired by the words of Musab, a refugee from Darfur, who used the phrase to describe his situation, as the only place he is legally allowed to live, he will die. This sentiment can be applied to climate migrants all over the world as they are forced to move away from their homes due to fast approaching climate stressors and have no legal rights to claim asylum.

Be a maker of change and not a victim to it.

It takes more than cents to make a change.

Climate Change is creating more refugees and migrants than any war or conflict today.

About

We are five final year International Development students from Maynooth University and we are advocating for the inclusion of climate displaced people in the refugee convention, as well as for action to be taken to combat climate change.

The Issues

Climate change is happening and its impacts are being felt.

  • How many people have been displaced?

  • Why are people displaced not yet considered refugees?

#ACT Now

#ACT against climate change and reduce vulnerabilities.

What Can I Do?

  • Reduce your energy use and mitigate the impacts.

  • Join a climate active society in your area.

  • Write a letter to your TD or local representative ask for change.

  • Donate to NGOs who are actively working to help displaced people.

  • Join a climate justice protest or start one yourself
